Package: usbfs Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software
-- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash I am experiencing a very strange issue as of today as per the subject. The only log entry I can gather from it is this - usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs Unable to create devices usbfs file Error creating usbfs device entry I just have a usb tv dongle plugged in like I always had for over a year now with never this issue and am running Squeeze w/ the 3.2 kernel from backports. On startup/reboot i just get a the above error message followed by the login prompt but no X. I can get X up with the startx or the service kdm restart commands though and it proceeds to load up just fine. So far 3 reboots and the same thing. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
