mpstat -P ALL 1 reports cpu's at 0% idle when top (press 1 in top to view all CPUs) does not show the same condition. When this occurs, mpstat shows zeros for all columns. On another quiet system running squeeze with 24 cores, several CPUs (7-12) are constantly being reported incorrectly as 100% idle, while top shows them all between 90-100% idle.
