Hi.As a recent discussion on d-d (http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2012/02/msg00747.html) brought to my attention, the contents files seem to be part of the signed Release file now.
So unarchiving/reopening this bug.Guess the general reasons for implementing it still apply, see also that discussion for more of them.
