Package: openjpeg Severity: normal It would be nice to package openjpeg 1.5. This is needed to get poppler to properly display JPEG 2000 streams.
Thanks ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Dear openjpeg users, I'm very happy to announce that OpenJPEG 1.5 is out ! It has been a year since the release of OpenJPEG 1.4 and it was more than needed to release a new version. A lot of things has changed (automatic testing, cleaner build methods, code optimizations, JPIP implementation), most of them are indicated here : http://openjpeg.googlecode.com/svn/branches/openjpeg-1.5/NEWS Sources and binaries are available from the download page : http://code.google.com/p/openjpeg/downloads/list MacOSX binaries are still missing but they will be uploaded asap. Please let us know if you encounter problems with one of these files. Many thanks to all contributors for their time, advices and patience. Many thanks also to our main partners (intopix and UCL/TELE) for their support. The next step for the project is the V2 release, it's already on track and hopefully it will not last one year before this next release. More info about the roadmap here : http://code.google.com/p/openjpeg/wiki/Roadmap I hope you will enjoy this new version, please continue to support this project with your contributions and advices. And spread the word about this new version to people interested.
