Package: python-gtk2-dev Version: 2.17.0-4 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 3.5
I was trying to compile python-gnome2 and figured it does not build because python-gtk2 and pythong-gkt2-dev are different version, even built for different python. According to debian policy 3.5 packages should depend on the required shared libraries which in this case does not happen. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (500, 'testing'), (410, 'unstable'), (200, 'experimental'), (111, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages python-gtk2-dev depends on: ii libglib2.0-dev 2.30.2-6 Development files for the GLib lib ii libgtk2.0-dev 2.24.9-2 development files for the GTK+ lib ii python-dev 2.7.2-10 header files and a static library ii python-gobject-dev 2.21.4+is.2.21.3-1 Development headers for the GObjec ii python-gtk2 2.24.0-2 Python bindings for the GTK+ widge Versions of packages python-gtk2-dev recommends: pn python-gtk2-doc <none> (no description available) python-gtk2-dev suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
