It's been 2 years since this query and 3 years since the original bugreport. In this time, qemu released 0.10, 0.11, 0.12, 0.13, 0.14, 0.15 and finally 1.0, first stable versions. Lots of people used qemu with hurd and many more systems since that time, on lots of various host systems. I think this bugreport can be closed now, even for squeeze version (0.12). Any objections?
