Bumping severity since dpkg with multiarch support is now available in
experimental, and soon in unstable. Here are the error messages:
| The following NEW packages will be installed:
| whiptail:i386
| 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
| Need to get 0 B/32.9 kB of archives.
| After this operation, 84.0 kB of additional disk space will be used.
| Can not write log, openpty() failed (/dev/pts not mounted?)
| (Reading database ... 23212 files and directories currently installed.)
| Unpacking whiptail:i386 (from .../whiptail_0.52.14-8_i386.deb) ...
| dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/whiptail_0.52.14-8_i386.deb
(--unpack):
| './usr/bin/whiptail' is different from the same file on the system
| configured to not write apport reports
| Errors were encountered while processing:
| /var/cache/apt/archives/whiptail_0.52.14-8_i386.deb
| E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

The bug can be reproduced by adding i386 as foreign architecture on an
amd64 system. Quick introduction:
