Hm, this seems like it's correct, but other files remain as well:
/etc/sgml/catalog and /etc/sgml/catalog.old, which remain until
sgml-base is purged.  At that point, /etc/sgml gets removed as well.
Are you seeing some other behavior here?

I can update xml2rfc to do this, but it seems a bit silly to me, as
xml2rfc depends on sgml-base.

what do you think is the right thing to do here?

Should this bug be reasigned to sgml-base?
