Package: telepathy-gabble Version: 0.15.3-1 Severity: normal Recent Gabbles have a 'console' plugin exposing a spartan D-Bus API, and an accompanying Pythonic UI which uses that API to provide an XMPP console for developers and nerds.
The package ships /usr/lib/telepathy/gabble-0/console.so but does not ship the telepathy-gabble-xmpp-console executable. Presumably there should be a separate package of that name which depends on Gabble, python-gobject, and gir packages for Gtk et al. I think console.so should stay in the telepathy-gabble package, so that you can install the UI and then immediately run it without having to restart Gabble to pick up a freshly-installed plugin. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages telepathy-gabble depends on: ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libdbus-1-3 1.4.16-1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.98-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-4 ii libgnutls26 2.12.16-1 ii libnice10 0.1.1-1 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.36.1-1 ii libsqlite3-0 3.7.9-3 ii libtelepathy-glib0 0.17.4-1 ii libxml2 2.7.8.dfsg-5.1 telepathy-gabble recommends no packages. telepathy-gabble suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
