Hi Matt, Thanks for replying so fast. :) As I understand you, the key-issue is the only thing holding you back from fixing the RC bug and maintaining this package? If so, I see no reason to orphan a package if you are around to fix the issue. Your fix can be uploaded by any DD; in this case, feel free to send me a patch/debdiff for the RC bug against libgftb and I will upload it on your behalf.
