Package: opencity Version: 0.0.6.4stable-1 Severity: wishlist Hello maintainers of the opencity Debian package!
I would like to suggest how one of the current limitations of this nice game could be eliminated. The save button lets the user save the city. As the documentation [1] on the official web site states: | Currently, OpenCity handles only one save slot. It will overwrite | any previously saved city. [1] http://www.opencity.info/en/TutorialMainMenu.html Instead of implementing a multiple-slot save mechanism, I think that the game should let the user choose the filename for the save file (currently ~/.opencity/opencity.save). When the user clicks on the save button, the city should be saved to the currently loaded one, if any. Otherwise, a dialog should ask the user which filename he/she would like to use and then save to ~/.opencity/<CHOSENFILENAME>.opencitysave (please note the appended filename extension). There should also be a "save as" button, just like in typical editing programs... This way, there would not be a limited number of save slots, but an unlimited number, provided enough space is available in the user's home directory... Please forward this bug report upstream.
