Hi, I think this bug can be closed. The current version of uswsusp detects if your computer has KMS support, then s2ram suspend your machine using the kernel.
Please, if you can try it, open a termnal and type "s2ram" as root (or sudo s2ram). Reply me (cc to this bug) with the results.
