Package: iftop

iftop reports a transfer rate of 186Mb, but my NIC is only
capable of 100Mb.

I'm moving a large file over the network (file tranferring 
from my desktop to my laptop), with this command run on 
the laptop:

ssh rob@desktop dd if=large_file.img | dd of=/dev/sda

iftop on the desktop machine reports 186Mb transfer to 
the laptop
iftop on the laptop machine reports 93Mb receive from
the desktop

The laptop, switch, and cables are capable of gigabit speeds.
The destkop NIC is only capable of 100Mb.

The laptop is 32-bit Squeeze, and the desktop is 64-bit Squeeze.

The file being transferred is a 160GB hard drive image.
