Hi Ben > What is the Debian package version? (Run 'cat /proc/version'.)
$ cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.32-5-amd64 (Debian 2.6.32-39squeeze1) (da...@debian.org) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-4) ) #1 SMP Mon Jan 9 20:49:59 UTC 2012 > Does the system recover from this, i.e. does the backup ever complete? Yes. More info: we saw this with Lenny too, which was running a 2.6.26 kernel. The system was upgraded from Lenny to Squeeze yesterday, and thus a kernel upgrade from 2.6.26 to 2.6.32. Since the reboot following the upgrade, we saw ten occurrences of this problem in the first hour, but none since.
