This feature would be useful. The retrieval of the alias in my
pbuilderrc file is done by:

 case "$DIST" in
        $(debian-distro-info -d))
                DIST="unstable"
                ;;
        $(debian-distro-info -t))
                DIST="testing"
                ;;
        $(debian-distro-info -s))
                DIST="stable"
                ;;
esac

This could be reduced to one debian-distro-info --alias call with this
feature.
