Subject: hugin: Reproduced on Intel graphics /squeeze Package: hugin Version: 2011.4.0+dfsg-1~bpo60+1 Severity: normal
*** Please type your report below this line *** Background: Had a squeeze system where hugin worked as epected. Installed new version from squeeze backports - it crashes. (See also my message in bug #655312 - the presence of an old .hugin makes hugin crash immediately.) Reproduce - 1 ===================================== * Start hugin from command line * Load images (3 .jpgs from a Nikon D90) * Press "2. Align" in the assistant * hugin opens window, does processing. Output is shown, among the steps are (difficult to see, because it is there so shorf ta time): - finding control points - analyze image - find matches - optimizing variables * hugin crashes, leaving this output: --------------------------- asbjorn@kraftkar:~$ hugin /usr/share/hugin/data/plugins/crop_cp.py CAT:Control Points NAM:Crop Control Points fails @api-max /usr/share/hugin/data/plugins/top_five.py CAT:Control Points NAM:keep 5 CPs per image pair fails @api-max /usr/share/hugin/data/plugins/shooting_pattern.py CAT:initial distribution NAM:6-1-1 Shooting Pattern fails @api-max /usr/share/hugin/data/plugins/woa.py CAT:Control Points NAM:Warped Overlap Analysis fails @api-max MainFrame::RestoreLayoutOnNextResize() Minnesegmentsfeil --------------------------------- ("Minnesegmentsfeil" means memory segment error.) /var/log messages says: Jan 22 20:56:04 kraftkar kernel: [102023.808938] hugin[15703]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fbf4e85f504 sp 00007fff21bc3dd0 error 4 in libc-2.11.2.so[7fbf4e825000+158000] Starting hugin with "env LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 hugin" gives the same result. Reproduce 2 ==================================== * Start hugin from command line * Load images (3 .jpgs from a Nikon D90) * Try to open fast preview window * hugin immediately crashes with a segfault as described above (same output, same message in syslog (libc2.11), except details in the last number.) "env LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 hugin" makes no difference. Except for aligning and the fast preview, I have not been able to trigger a crash. Adding control points manually and running the optimzer from the optimizer tab seems to work. There seems to be a (probably unrelated) issue when going to tab two, "Images". The "Selected Image" text is floating "on top" of the rest of the contents of the window until the window is made so large that everything fits.
