I am wondering if the mailbox format used by the bug reporter is MBX? UW-imap supports 3 formats: Unix mailbox - much higher limit (but may slow down to a crawl as it gets large) MBX - faster than Unix mailbox, 2GB limit MIX - newest, ridiculously fast for large mailboxes and its size limit is higher than any of the others.
