Could you please add the commands set -x exec 2>/tmp/hylafax-client.postinst.log as second and third lines of /var/lib/dpkg/info/hylafax-client.postinst? then, execute command "dpkg --reconfigure hylafax-client", and send me the create logfile /tmp/hylafax-client.postinst.log ?
