Package: tar
Version: 1.26-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
   I ran tar
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
tar cf /tmp/foo --exclude home/njh/spider/cgi-bin/search/cache --exclude
"mnt/c/Users/Owner/Documents/My Webs/w32-clamav/downloads --exclude-backups
--exclude=\*.mp3 --exclude=\*.wav " `cat usr/local/lib/dirs/8gstick`
tar tvf foo | fgrep Rockville |fgrep mp3

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   Gave some output
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Should have given none because I said to exclude mp3 files.
