I tried to recreate the problem. In the Print dialogue, I - created a new printer - setup printer as Adoble/PostScript Level 2 - Added /usr/share/ppd/hplip/HP-DeskJet_5652-hpijs.ppd as the PPD file I could select A4, Letter and the other paper sizes without problems. >> > PS: During the configuration, after that I've selected the ppd >> > file a warning dialog window has been open which talked about >> > inktype (?) I didn't see that happen. Please could you try removing the ~/.gimp-2.2/printrc and creating the printer again. Does it work this time? BTW, are you running a mixed testing and unstable system? This might possibly be the cause of some problems.
