Last work on xsp was the work on the 2.10 version, currently in experimental and which Jo wanted to have in unstable when possible. Given the changelog, this is a quite important change and I suspect that many checks are involved. So, I'm not that surprised that we have to wait for quite a bit. The package is still on my radar anyway and I'll prod maintainers from time to time.....but I'm confident that the upload will happen at some time.
