Hi Peter, On [21/09/05 13:33], Debian Bug Tracking System wrote: > $ jwhois -f -h whois.denic.de test.de > [Frågar whois.denic.de] > [whois.denic.de] > domain: test.de > status: connect
I just tested this on my system, which I upgraded yesterday. All I receive is a segmentation fault: [santiago:~]-1> jwhois -f -h whois.denic.de test.de [Querying whois.denic.de] zsh: segmentation fault jwhois -f -h whois.denic.de test.de > $ jwhois -f test.de > [Frågar http://www.denic.de/en/whois/data.jsp] Which isn't necessary. As I had explained in an other e-Mail, the whois-server of DeNIC is working fine as you can see here: [santiago:~]-4> whois -h whois.denic.de test.de % Copyright (c)2004 by DENIC % Version: 1.03.3 % % Restricted rights. % % % Except for agreed Internet operational purposes, no part of this % information may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or % transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, % recording, or otherwise, without prior permission of the DENIC % on behalf of itself and/or the copyright holders. Any use of this % material to target advertising or similar activities are explicitly % forbidden and will be prosecuted. The DENIC requests to be notified % of any such activities or suspicions thereof. domain: test.de domain-ace: test.de descr: Stiftung Warentest [...] So there's no need to query any web-interface for this.
