I tried watching Sintel in 2K resolution using VAAPI; this caused a GPU hang.
debugging the GPU hang was not possible, as reading i915_error_state failed
with the message that not enough memory could be allocated.
Could you please test if this issue persists even with actual version
(maybe experimental one) and let us know something?
If the problem doesn't exist anymore, please close this bug report.
I'll close it anyway if I don't get any new information within a week or so.
