Package: amanda-common Version: 1:3.3.0-1+b1 Severity: important Using amrecover to recover some backup-date causes the error: "Can't talk to tape server: service amidxtaped"
I think exactly the same problem was reported before in the amanda-users mailling-list by Toomas: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/amanda-users/message/70762 The patch committed there fixed also my problem. But Jean-Louis wrote, he has commited the patch to the 3.2 branch. But I am using 3.3 and still having the problem. May be its a branching-problem, or something like this. I set this bug to important, even if a patch is availabe, because for the average user (whichout the knowlegde to apply the patch) recovery is not available with the below mentioned versions of amanda and perl.
