Source: python-numpy Severity: wishlist Hi,
from looking at the source package, python-numpy could be built without the documentation without having matplotlib (which it‐ self depends on python-numpy and a number of other things such as GTK+2, Qt3, Qt4, wxwidgets) installed – in theory. The debian/rules file and the various READMEs however don’t show how this could be done. It has recently been a trend to include “architecture bootstrapping” information in packages, especially to break circular dependencies, but also for core packages with not-very-strict B-D on others. It would be nice to provide one. (Also, README.source is wrong, and some other parts of debian/ could use some modernisation.) bye, //mirabilos -- "Using Lynx is like wearing a really good pair of shades: cuts out the glare and harmful UV (ultra-vanity), and you feel so-o-o COOL." -- Henry Nelson, March 1999 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
