Installed 8.2 in kvm-0.15, running it in kvm-1.0 makes no difference. Command line is simple: kvm -m 512 -drive file=fbsd.raw, cache=unsafe \ -cdrom FreeBSD-8.2-RELEASE-i386-disc1.iso \ -netdev type=tap,id=n -device e1000,netdev=n (the cache=unsafe is just to speed the install up, it makes no difference) Tried running 7.4 from FreeBSD-7.4-RELEASE-i386-livefs.iso (I haven't installed it, the install images are 600+ megs) - this one appears to work just fine too, but obviously it does not try to mount ide disk as its root fs. I mounted filesystems from fbsd.raw i created in previous step (for 8.2) -- it works as expected too. So, in sum, I can't reproduce your _regression_ probs with netbsd (I can't get it to work at all, hence no reguression for me) and with freebsd. The issue with openbsd is fixed. I need help ;) Thanks, /mjt -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
