Package: libvte9 Version: 1:0.28.1-1 I see exactly the same symptioms as in the following ubuntu bugreport: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vte/+bug/665548 Worksapce switching is very slow (multiple seconds) when terminal windows are open. Switching time increases with the total area of terminal Windows in the target workspace. It thus takes a very long time, if there are multiple large terminal windows. It does not matter itf the terminal windows are on top or behind other windows.
As with the bug reporter there, this is an Nvidia system using Nvidia's non-free driver. It runs testing (I have another system with an Intel graphics card and unstable, with otherwise similar configuration, which does not have this problem). I run xfce4.
