Package: lightdm Version: 1.0.6-3 Severity: normal xdm wdm slim gdm3 and kdm set "Provides: x-display-manager". This is one of the virtual package. I think this is required by policy: http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/virtual-package-names-list.txt
I found this irregularity when I was looking for the cause of killed X just after removal of xdm while having lightdm installed. I do not know this chenge help or not, though. I vaguely remember switching between xdm and gdm was smooth. This seems to be one of the cause.
