You may like to know that cryptmount-4.3 will now have
support for simple environmental variables within /etc/cryptmount/cmtab
so that you can use something like 'mountoptions=uid=$(USERNAME)' to
give you slightly more flexibility when mounting VFAT partitions.
This feature is still in its testing phase, but if you'd
like to try it out then there's an alpha release of cryptmount-4.3
available via http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/cryptmount/files/unstable.
