Thanks Caspar. Yep, there's definitely a dependency problem between librmagick-ruby and imagemagick. The jump from imagemagick 6.0.6 to 6.2.3 introduced binary incompatibilities in libmagick6. The problem will resolve itself once the updated imagemagick hits testing; that doesn't help you right now, though. As a workaround, it suggest installing imagemagick_6:6.2.3.6-3 from unstable. As far as I can tell, while I can specify an imagemagick version in Build-Depends, there's no way for me to add a version to the runtime dependency. Though, I would be very happy to be corrected. The plan is to re-build imagemagick with a new lib-package name, "libmagick9", at which point I'll re-build librmagick-ruby. See http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2005/09/msg00149.html -- cheers, Mike
