Do you have a public version control system for mawk? The divergence between the Debian version and yours is quite large, and it would be easier to have access to the individual patchs to review them. Being mawk the default awk for the Debian systems, these changes could have an important effect in the distribution in general, hence the need to review and test them thoroughly.
