Package: network-manager Version: 0.9.2.0-1 Severity: normal I'm running gnome 3.2 in sid and NM 0.9.2.
I can't save network settings so I'm stuck with default options (DHCP). Whenever I try to save settings a window prompting for authentication comes up and disappears immediately before I can type anything. That window says something like system policy prevents changing settings for all users. I get the same behaviour with a new user. ps aux tells me polkitd is running. I don't see polkit-gnome-authentication- agent-1 (if relevant) but if invoked in the terminal I get: ** (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:9528): WARNING **: Unable to register authentication agent: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: An authentication agent already exists for the given subject Cannot register authentication agent: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: An authentication agent already exists for the given subject Authentication works (i.e. when I mount partitions). /etc/network/interfaces is ok (lo only). What's wrong? Thanks!
