i re-ran the git dropunused and now it seems that everything seems to be
in order, the number of files in both object directory matches.

however, the output might be a bit missleading...

sry for the noise, however i'm a bit sensitive to possible corruptions
(even though i do have 3 distinct copies, so there should normally be
only a slight chance of data loss).

maybe a status message that is a bit more clear would be preferable.
