No, I am using stable version of amd64 kernel on my desktop PC and mounting of windows share is ok.
I think, that problem is somewhere in CIFS module maybe, but cannot install older version of cifs-utils to check older version of cifs.. A while ago, I found this Debian bug report only (#612911), but without any solution. Best regards, M.
