Now that #649767 is fixed, obnam always fails with this error for me, regardless of whether I'm ussing sshfs or an sftp:// URL.
One additional annoyance is that when it crashes, it leaves the "root.lock" file in place, which means I need to manually remove it before trying again. I do have a GPG agent running; other applications seem to be able to use the agent ok. I can easily reproduce this problem outside obnam if I execute the same command myself: $ gpg --batch -d <backup_repo>/backup/metadata/key gpg: encrypted with 4096-bit RSA key, ID CFA7E64E, created 2011-08-22 "Dafydd Harries <d...@rhydd.org>" gpg: public key decryption failed: bad passphrase gpg: decryption failed: secret key not available Daf -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
