It would be useful to know which package with init.d scripts you have
installed.  Please provide the output from 

  dpkg -S /etc/init.d/*|cut -d: -f1|sort -u

Given that it is a loop, it is useful to try to idenfity which set of
packages need to be installed together for the loop to form.
