I've installed packagekit for use of novice users, as a result the filter
for graphical packages only is very important; but unfortunately it gives no
results at all with this filter on.
I've tried this on gnome-packagekit.

This appears to have been fixed, but the graphical filter is not upto
the mark, it simply shows results on basis of the section the package
belongs to -- this may be a gnome/kde library which's something not
graphical.
Anyway, this bug may close.
