(/snip) *** ...i am not a coder, just a user. my box is a sarge install (debianpure v0.2 distribution) dist-upgraded to unstable. current kernel debian 2.6.12-1-686 udev and hotplug enabled...yay! updated/upgraded daily debian pools, no ubuntu spoken here tried burning under 2.6.12-1-686 2.6.11-1-686 2.4.27-686 all fail with similar outputs. commandline burning also fails. *** ran the k3b setup tool...everything checks out...using cdrom group, 660 permissions on devices, 750 permissions on progs. device has worked for months. booted a kanotix 2005.1 live disk in hdc (reader) then burned the iso from hda to hdd using kanotix's k3b. anything else i can provide? let me know. -- mudbone -- Work is so over-rated. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
