Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal simpledb has been abandoned by the maintainer for two months, no uploads for 5 years and no reverse dependencies. It is also affected by the proposed release goal for build-indep targets.
There's been no interest in the orphaning bug and rather than spend time on a package with such a low popcon fixing it's current lintian errors and warnings, I consider it better to ask for simpledb to be removed.
