No such luck. I've just downgraded to mono 2.6.7-5 (not sure why I had the experimental version installed...) and it's working now. Thanks for the very rapid response!
If you're not 2.10 compatible, could a Conflicts header be added to note this? If that had been there, I'd have been able to resolve this on my own.
