You are right. But: OpenLDAP 2.1 is quite obsolete already and I am working on repackaging OpenLDAP 2.3 (which is going slowly as hell) so I won't bother fixing those ancient packages. I'll try to do the right thing (tm) for the new packages. Thanks Torsten
