I'm not sure that the project is (unless i'm wrong) yet under active
development. I tried to contact upstream authors a while to discuss
about Debian patch and did not have any answer.

The OpenBSD implementation (netcat-openbsd) is dual stack and have all
the same features that netcat6.

netcat6 is still in main for convenience but i think it will be dropped
in the future.

Anyway, about the bug here, i'll try to investigate a bit next few days.
