The mutt sidebar patch counts mailboxes of which it thinks have new
mails repeatedly. With many and/or big mailboxes, this unnecessaryly
repeated procedure wastes a lot of performance and resources.

The issue is a design error in the sidebar patch; I have attached a
patch that corrects this behaviour.
