Package: mutt-patched Version: 1.5.21-5 Severity: normal Tags: patch
The mutt sidebar patch counts mailboxes of which it thinks have new mails repeatedly. With many and/or big mailboxes, this unnecessaryly repeated procedure wastes a lot of performance and resources. The issue is a design error in the sidebar patch; I have attached a patch that corrects this behaviour. http://userpage.fu-berlin.de/plenz/mutt/0009-cache-time-when-sidebar-last-counted-all-the-mails.patch Cheers, Julius -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.iso885915) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mutt-patched depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-10 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcomerr2 1.41.12-4stable1 common error description library ii libgnutls26 2.8.6-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libgpg-error0 1.6-1 library for common error values an ii libgpgme11 1.2.0-1.2 GPGME - GnuPG Made Easy ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.8.3+dfsg-4squeeze2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries - k ii libidn11 1.15-2 GNU Libidn library, implementation ii libk5crypto3 1.8.3+dfsg-4squeeze2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries - C ii libkrb5-3 1.8.3+dfsg-4squeeze2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libncursesw5 5.7+20100313-5 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libsasl2-2 2.1.23.dfsg1-7 Cyrus SASL - authentication abstra ii libtokyocabinet8 1.4.37-6 Tokyo Cabinet Database Libraries [ ii mutt 1.5.21-zedat1 Text-based e-mail reader supportin mutt-patched recommends no packages. mutt-patched suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
