Package: open-vm-tools
Version: 1:2011.08.21-471295-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,
i'm backporting open-vm-tools to squeeze to use on our servers.
When backporting some last release (which where not in debian archive), I
noticed, that init script is complaining about missing vmmemctl.
When i backported 2:8.8.0+2011.09.23-491607-1 from sid, i noticed this message
is gone.
But it seems that module is still missing. In newer kernel there is
vmw_balloon.ko, which probably replaces this.
But in 2.6.32, there is no such module.
Is there a way to provide some vmmmectl for squeeze?

With regards
Libor Klepac
