awn-applets-python-core currently recommends python-gweather. This package will go away as soon as the GNOME 3 transition to testing has finished and we will reupload src:libgweather3 as src:libgweather. In GNOME 3 / libgweather 3, the python bindings are based on the GObject Introspection framework and you should port awn-applets-python-core to use PyGObject and gir1.2-gweather-3.0.
