I found a link on the Thunderbird forum: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1765025&start=0 Read my way down and implemented: First set: network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http=true then I opened a http link in an email, now Icedove asked me wich browser to use and I choose /usr/bin/mozilla-firefox (I checked also to remember my choose).
