Using unstable, I just switched to gnome3 with gnome-shell this weekend.
When looking on internet how to solve my problems (ie how to get back a
useful environment for my work), I see that some of them are fixed/have a
workaround by using extensions. However, most of them require gnome-shell 3.2
I think that gnome-shell should stick in unstable (not migrate to
testing) until version 3.2 is packaged.
I don't think that extensions are a blocker for testing migration.
From my point of view, Gnome-shell usability is. And for me,
gnome-shell 3.0 is not good enought to go to testing (ie ready for
stable). If gnome-shell 3.2 does not quickly appear, I will remove
it (trying to switch to metacity back or switching to something
different: kde, ...)
But you are maintainer of the package, so I you really think that
gnome-shell 3.0 is good enough for testing (ie next stable), keep
this severity.
