PowerTOP does not shows the power usage on my machine. The problem is
the same to the bug report of Archlinux [1].
Please consider applying the patch [2] which is also mentioned in [1].
I think the branch from linaro (C++) is different to the one which
Debian is using.
BTW, I alway scare of this piece of code :)
