Package: gvfs-backends Version: 1.6.4-4 Severity: important Every time I attach my camera, all attahched USB disks are woken up (lenghty spinup). I traced this back to some stupid program which scans ALL filesystems looking for /dcim or /DCIM directories. And it seems to be caused by gvfs-* because removing the package and killing all gvfs... processes makes the problem go away.
So the questions are... why does it scan totally unrelated filesystems? And why does it do this nonsense whatsoever? It's a PTP class device, there is no USB mass storage filesystem where you could search.
