Package: gitolite Severity: normal gitolite.rc contains several important variables like $GL_CONF or $GL_PACKAGE_CONF. From 1.x to 2.x several of this variables changed. Unfortunatly that file isn't updated on package upgrade. If you update from 1.x to 2.x gitolite just refuses to work because the moved VERSION file can't be found since $GL_PACKAGE_CONF isn't set. Maybe those packaging variables should be added to a package specific config in /etc/gitolite/ or even /usr/share/gitolite. The really don't belong into the user config.
